Their findings include an interesting statistic: 70% of “online leisure travelers” book at least some of their personal travel online and 52% purchase all or most of their personal travel online.
With the Canadian dollar at its highest level in years, Canadians seem to have rediscovered foreign travel, The Globe and Mail reported on Friday. This August saw at least 600,000 Canadians go overseas (trips to the United States are not included in this statistic).
Among destinations popular with Canadian tourists are Spain, Italy, Croatia and Ireland.
